Nothing was averaged or estimated: a walk's rating appears as its platform reports it, and a walk with no reviews is described in exactly those words. Free-entry attractions got a parallel pass, because New York's famous draws are often free only on conditions: a residency rule at a museum, an evening window, a ferry fare before the grounds open. Each such rule was checked against an official source, and the condition is written beside the claim instead of being tucked away. Where a record is mixed, it becomes two separate facts rather than one inherited label: Governors Island charges its ferry but its grounds and the Hills cost nothing once across, while the SeaGlass Carousel at The Battery is a paid ride inside a free park.
